How
it works
Anybody who wants to run, walk, paddle, swim or cycle for charity – or
who accepts a dare to bungee jump, skydive, lose weight or do anything
else for charity – can set up their own fundraising blog
on our website free of charge.
Choose any charity you want to
benefit – provided it is a registered South African non-profit.
If the charity of your choice is not yet on our list, let us know
and we will contact them with an invitation to register. As soon
as they have done so, we will let you know so you can start building
your fundraising page. Click
here to nominate a charity not on our list.
Get the word out to your friends,
family, business colleagues and social contacts – if they
don't know what you are doing, they can't support you! Use your
blog to tell them about your event, your training and your charity
of choice. Load a photograph of yourself in training. Login to
your page to update details/photographs as often as you want. Then
use the built-in tools to email friends, add your details to Facebook
and other networking sites, and ask for
support.
Anyone who wants to support you may donate
any amount online by credit card, through our SSL secure
system, or make a direct deposit into our bank account via EFT
or Internet Banking – and leave a message of encouragement as
well. We deduct a small
processing fee and
pay the balance of all the donations you receive to your charity
once a month.
Check back regularly to see
who's supporting you, and to update your blog with news of your
progress and new photographs.
So are you ready ... steady ....
