R853 690 raised by 141 fundraisers for 60 different South African non-profit organisations

People using this site have contributed well over three-quarters of a million rand to uplift the lives of children, aged, disabled, hungry and terminally ill people - as well as dogs, cats and wildlife.

Many of the charities who have benefited are grassroots organisations without the budgets to launch their own fundraising campaigns.

Most of the people who donate give amounts of R100, R100 or R500 - proving that you don't have to be wealthy to make a huge difference!

About us
Doit4Charity is based on a concept popular in the UK and USA and was, in fact, initiated in response to requests from overseas visitors who travel to South Africa to participate in events such as the Comrades Marathon and who wanted to raise funds for local charities.

Being passionate about supporting the valuable work of South African NGOs, the team at Doit4Charity created a website that would make it easy for people from all walks of life to raise funds for their favourite causes.

Costs
Admin costs are kept to the absolute minimum, in order to ensure that the bulk of all money raised through the site goes to where it's intended - our non-profits.

Of the 10% fee charged – the banks take 4% + R1 settlement fee per transaction + VAT. The remainder covers Netcash fees, web hosting and maintenance, bookkeeping and accounting fees.

Our financial statements are drawn up by an independent accounting officer for your complete peace of mind.

Doit4Charity attracts an average of 1 270 visits every month - with visitors spending on average 2.51 minutes on the site and viewing three pages.

We accept advertising for appropriate products/services as well as non-profit organisations keen to catch the attention of prospective fundraisers. Advertising rates are as little as R229 per month. Click for more.
